This is just another attack on free speech and civil rights. This is the Patriot Act of the internet. Yes, this sounds like a nice thing they are doing to protect people but it is a wolf in sheep’s clothing and nothing more. The federal government can’t do the job it is already charged to perform and now they want to go out and start controlling the internet. What is happening here folks? This is crazy!

Ever worried you don’t know enough?

This happens to me a lot, and it really drives me a bit crazy.  For some reason (often) in my life I find myself standing on the sideline way too long trying to figure everything out before I make that first step.  Depending on your point of view this could be seen as good or bad.  In sales, I am thinking it is not one of the better ways of doing things, but it is the only way I know.

But, things are different now.  Feel like I know enough now to get out there and get things done.  Don’t know everything that is for sure, but I do at things differently now.  Many in my life, I feel they ask me things not to just get an answer from me, but more to see what I do or do not know and they love to push peoples buttons.  They bring up anything you missed in the past to tease you or use it as proof they are smarter then you.  This has bothered me a lot in my past and I think i finally figured out how to deal with it.  Simply don’t do business with those type of people.  Eliminate them from my life is the best answer.  It is something that drives me crazy about me.

Man Is Freed in Houston After Months of DNA Tests

The state of Texas has a long history of pride in its legal system. Even more pride in how it holds the record for the most executions, and that their aggressive action in crime prevention is the way to go. Texas leads the nation in cases in which convicted men have been exonerated through DNA tests.

Hello? This is a big problem, and once again Texas example is an embarrassment. Big boots, big hats, and big mistakes, that are costing lives. We humans are far too fallible to carry out executions. Who do we think we are? And if we are a people of intelligence, how can we not see why this needs to stop? Some will call me a bleeding heart liberal progressive, fine by me. I would call myself the one that listened that day in Sunday School when they taught us that God handles each and everyone of our judgment day.

Get knocked down ….

One step forward, three steps back. Everyday, people everywhere fight and battle just to get out of bed. Getting dressed, or taking a shower is just things that fall to the side. They don’t eat right, much less healthy. Taking care of themselves is not a priority. They see the coming day as just another bunch of wake up hours to be endured. They watch movies, and read books (blogs too) that show people who defy the odds and find happiness and success.

I know this because I fight this everyday. In the last few months it has only gotten worse. For me it is something I think I have fought for some time now, how long I do not even want to consider writing down. It would only serve to anger and push me down further.

Every night, I am plagued with thoughts of the things I didn’t get done. Question why I didn’t get this or that done. I get up and think I can get it all done then. Course, I am only getting worthless “busy” work done. Not like you can call people at 1 am and discuss business. Find myself reading for hours about things in this world I have no control over, but feel the intense desire to comment on them. Guess we always feel better when we can focus on others and their problems then facing and dealing with our own. I am not only a member of that club, I am the president of it.

I now find myself in a hole I don’t know how anyone could climb out of. Know some will say, suck it up. Get up, get dressed and go find any job you can. No matter how poorly it pays. Yea, that helps! I have heard this so many times, and with what little strength I have left I have fought it. Not sure why, but I have. Could be that I am so stubborn I can’t help but hurt myself. For some reason I have held out “hope” that I was better then that. That there was something about me that could attain greater. Experience is proving to me, that there isn’t anything special, that I have been wrong.

The negative impact it has on me has been rather extensive. But the hurt and pain I have caused others is the worse part. Met a very special person many years ago and put her through more then anyone should ever have to deal with. She endured not only my failures and everything comes with that, but even more. A son who I have never met, but I am touched by daily. Then there is the one person, above all others who should never be injured or hurt by me, but it seems everyone that comes in close proximity of me gets pulled down. To each of you, I really am sorry!

Now what? Where do I go, what should I do?

What do you need?

The other day, someone asked me what I needed right now. Be honest it was out of the blue for this person to ask me that, but I told him simply, “a car.” Trust me, trying to do real estate and Design-29 is a real pain from a bus. Granted, we have one car but its availability is pretty limited now days.

Got me thinking, that I have to do something about this and do it now. So, I am looking for anyone out there that might be interested in making a few bucks renting me a car they don’t use much. Looking for something like a Ford Explorer, Nissan Murano, along those lines.

If you do, please email me and let me know the details, looking forward to talking to you.

Buses SUX!

images.jpeg

In all honesty, “taking the bus” has never been a real option for me. Mainly because I am of the school that you go when you have to get there, do your business and get out. No doubt people that can ride a bus on one hand have to be more relaxed. They have to be to put up with the whole system. They have to plan their trips, and have the patience of Job to deal with all the delays. Amazes me, and quite honestly I respect them immensely. No way in the world could I do it. The bus system is so whacked here in Seattle. Ron Simms (former King County Supervisor) was right, buses should just run every ten minutes, everywhere!

I was raised somewhat in the country I guess. We had horses, cows, chickens (scary story there) and everything else you have on a farm. Including cars, trucks, and a tractor. Now, in the country people get to where they need to be, do their thing, and get on back to the farm and feed something. So, maybe this is where I got it from I don’t know. But, I can tell you that this waiting around for 45 minutes to get on a smelly hot recycled coke can is for the birds.

But, it is my reality these days. Shit, what did I do with that damn transfer????

Why do we expect one man to do what everyone in congress can’t

I really wonder why so many have the expectation that our President can or even should fix everything that is broken in this country. Sadly, I believe the reason we do this is because we have loss total faith in all our other leaders. Not to mention that the average American can’t name their congressional leaders, or state and local leaders. We hear about them during election time, and then most just somewhat disappear. These leaders share the lowest approval rating in history right now.

Lets face it, being in Congress is the best scamming job there is. Basically, they get people knocking on their door, loaded with gifts, money, trips, and whatever else just so they can “inform and educate” them on every issue under the sun. Add to that, 100% healthcare coverage (the best on the planet) for life. Not even going to go into everything else (Google it) or we would be here all day, sufficient to say it is ridicules.

How much is it costing to debate healthcare reform? I can’t afford my medications. The medication I need, I can not have, and all I can think about is what did it cost today to debate and do nothing?

Many argue that every person should and need to provide for themselves. Guess it is the logical conclusion of, “Survival of the fittest.” Maybe that is where I am missing it, because we hold so dear our principal of a free market capital system, it is that value I confused with the christian value of helping those who need help. Which one to pick, hum…
