Little sister breaks into the blogosphere

Now, if memory serves she has tried this before. My sister is dipping her big toe back into the blogosphere as per her email announcement today. Haven’t seen it yet and I have no idea what it is about, but I will pass a link along as soon as she decides to share it with me.

Now, without even seeing it I can guess that you will not find much along the lines of the type of topics I post about. Seems I am the only one in my family that talks about those kinds of things. Should be more along the lines of her husband and kids. Some home schooling stuff and a post or two on scrap booking. Think someone told me she is pretty big in that world, and somewhat known too. Like I said as soon as I get a link I will pass it along, make sure you stop by and wish her luck.

Marriage Ban passes FL, AZ, CA

The people have spoken

Not a big surprise that the bans all passed. Never was a question in Florida or Arizona. Course there was hope in California, but in the closing days it was looking terminal. So, what happens next? Good question and it is going to be interesting to see how each side gears up for round two. Granted the courts will get involved, as well as new tactics.

Overall it will be a back and forth fight for many years to come. Not sure that is earth shattering news to anyone. Stay tuned folks, its not over by a long shot. But I am glad this election is over! Maybe in the future we should pass a law that limits elections to the year they are voted on.

Politics, religion, and mom …. DO NOT MIX!

Not like this is anything that is earth shattering. But, I swear I am so not going to discuss politics or religion with my mom ever again. Will on this blog from time to time, but I won’t with her.

Love her too much to go through all that. Never realized how different we are now, not that is a bad thing. Just really see it now. Guess understanding isn’t always as important as looking past. Not that she is the only one in my family like this, just weird realizing how wrong they all are, LOL. And no, I am not kidding!

Momma is coming

To be totally honest here, this post is in part from my mother herself!

Been talking to my mom about blogging and my very intense and sincere desire to make blogging a focus for myself. She hasn’t read anything I have posted and I am not sure many have. But, I haven’t really rolled everything up and that is happening this week.

So, back to the topic of my mom coming. Not sure where to start. Let me open with I do love her to death. She is really one of those people that are amazing to get to know, if you really ever get to know her. She has multiple talents to say the least. And to some level she can make shit stink good. Meaning that not many people can spin stuff like her, other then me….and people wanna know where I get it from.

She is a writer, quilter, amazing friend to many, smart, stubborn (more then most), funny, caring, and loving. Sure there is much more. On the reverse side, she is conceded, racist, stubborn, out of touch, un-bending, trapped by her past, did I mention stubborn? OMG, how can he say all this about his own mother, and she is gonna read this? Guess I am much more like her then I even want to admit.

My mom is someone that many either like or don’t. She is driven beyond explanation. No doubt I should post more about my family and then maybe things would become more understandable when it comes to the players. Which I intend to a lot of in the near future, so get your RSS feed lit up so you don’t miss anything.

To be fair I will be posting about my family in my next post. Will expalin a few things and hopefully give you a point of reference on all this.
