Poll Shows Obama’s Clout on Health Care Is Eroding – NYTimes.com

Hey Mr. President,

Know your busy and all, but from down here …. we are a bit more concerned about putting gas in our cars and keeping the Madoff bankers on the other side of our front doors.

See, we don’t have helicopters, planes, private resorts at our disposal. I don’t have anyone walking my dog, or a staff making burgers not good enough for me so I take my ride, (all 26 of them) down to “Five Guys” and get some grease for the staff. I live in a very small rental, no car, and fighting to survive. Those crazies up the hospital only want cash for my medications and well, I just don’t have it right now.

Healthcare is a problem, no doubt and one that you and I both know will never be fixed. It just how it is. Hospitals will fail, funding and care for those of us down here will continue to be cut. Now, the minute an insurance company is facing bankruptcy I think the lesson from AIG should ring loud and clear. Just tell’em no. Don’t worry, they will file with the court, because George made sure they would get more protections then us, they will get through it, I promise. (Now that is my free advice to you, see, we didn’t need a lobbyist at all.)

All I am saying is, drop this hopeless fight. You aren’t gonna win, and we down here have already lost. Pick your battles better, do something that will bring a change to us down here.

Thank you

President Obama’s ability to shape the debate on health care appears to be eroding as opponents aggressively portray the effort as a government takeover that could limit Americans’ ability to chose their doctors and course of treatment, according to the latest New York Times/CBS News poll.

Dionne Warwick: Big Radio’s Attacks on Me Aren’t Surprising

I would just like to know, how bad do these “artist” have it? Seriously! Didn’t look all that bad for Michael Jackson, least from the ariel photos of his rented little cottage. Wasn’t looking bad on mtv’s Cribs, with the pools, dozen cars in the drive-way and Cristal in the fridge. The private jets, limos, million dollar motor homes, and of course the internet runs rampet with the stories of gift bags, artist’s contractual requirements. How about all the clothes, and stuff they are given, in hopes someone will take their picture wearing their products (which the artists love to bitch about having their pictures taken).

In this economy, and the hell most of us have really suffered through…. screw you and your whiny ass about not getting your cut of a song played on the radio. The same radio play that got you to where you are, talk about ungrateful.

Shut up Dionne, and the rest of ya! Don’t waste our time! Want some pity? Get down here with the rest of us and walk in our footsteps, then maybe we might remotely care, but in all honesty, if you still bitched about it after walking my walk, I would just burn your cd’s.

How cowardly are our leaders?

Hey congress, you are elected leaders, ACT LIKE ONE. You should answer questions asked of you by the people of this country that in case you have forgotten, YOU WORK FOR!

What are you suppose to feel or not feel?

Not sure how or what I am suppose to feel or what I shouldn’t. What do you say to someone that asks you how you feel? What about those people in your life you pretty much know are fake. They ask how you feel or what is going on, but in all honesty they don’t want to know or really even care. Guess it is polite in away that they ask.

Making it harder is those that “supposedly“ should care, but they really don’t. Guess that is the worse. Isn’t it better to just know where the relationship you have with them actually stands? Trust becomes damaged, or worse. It effects you not just in that relationship, but all the others you have or might have in the future. Anger seems to seep into these things, but isn’t that just wall that gets thrown up to protect yourself.

Is there a secret to all of this that just escapes me? Is it me?

What do you need?

The other day, someone asked me what I needed right now. Be honest it was out of the blue for this person to ask me that, but I told him simply, “a car.” Trust me, trying to do real estate and Design-29 is a real pain from a bus. Granted, we have one car but its availability is pretty limited now days.

Got me thinking, that I have to do something about this and do it now. So, I am looking for anyone out there that might be interested in making a few bucks renting me a car they don’t use much. Looking for something like a Ford Explorer, Nissan Murano, along those lines.

If you do, please email me and let me know the details, looking forward to talking to you.

Buses SUX!

images.jpeg

In all honesty, “taking the bus” has never been a real option for me. Mainly because I am of the school that you go when you have to get there, do your business and get out. No doubt people that can ride a bus on one hand have to be more relaxed. They have to be to put up with the whole system. They have to plan their trips, and have the patience of Job to deal with all the delays. Amazes me, and quite honestly I respect them immensely. No way in the world could I do it. The bus system is so whacked here in Seattle. Ron Simms (former King County Supervisor) was right, buses should just run every ten minutes, everywhere!

I was raised somewhat in the country I guess. We had horses, cows, chickens (scary story there) and everything else you have on a farm. Including cars, trucks, and a tractor. Now, in the country people get to where they need to be, do their thing, and get on back to the farm and feed something. So, maybe this is where I got it from I don’t know. But, I can tell you that this waiting around for 45 minutes to get on a smelly hot recycled coke can is for the birds.

But, it is my reality these days. Shit, what did I do with that damn transfer????

Why do we expect one man to do what everyone in congress can’t

I really wonder why so many have the expectation that our President can or even should fix everything that is broken in this country. Sadly, I believe the reason we do this is because we have loss total faith in all our other leaders. Not to mention that the average American can’t name their congressional leaders, or state and local leaders. We hear about them during election time, and then most just somewhat disappear. These leaders share the lowest approval rating in history right now.

Lets face it, being in Congress is the best scamming job there is. Basically, they get people knocking on their door, loaded with gifts, money, trips, and whatever else just so they can “inform and educate” them on every issue under the sun. Add to that, 100% healthcare coverage (the best on the planet) for life. Not even going to go into everything else (Google it) or we would be here all day, sufficient to say it is ridicules.

How much is it costing to debate healthcare reform? I can’t afford my medications. The medication I need, I can not have, and all I can think about is what did it cost today to debate and do nothing?

Many argue that every person should and need to provide for themselves. Guess it is the logical conclusion of, “Survival of the fittest.” Maybe that is where I am missing it, because we hold so dear our principal of a free market capital system, it is that value I confused with the christian value of helping those who need help. Which one to pick, hum…

Do it yourself!

When will I learn? For me, that is very rhetorical to say the least. Not sure why I always feel like I need to build a team of people to make things happen. Others typically screw everything up more then they help, least in my experience. Maybe it is this stupid concept I have that if people come together for the cause, anything can be done and everyone will benefit. Granted, money I am sure helps with all this. Money has been another issue that has eluded me my entire life (a topic for another time).

Been trying to work with some people lately on a project and just finally realized that they are no where nearly as dedicated or focused as I am for the success of this. And that I really need to cut my losses and just do it myself. If it succeeds then it is all me, and if it fails, it is all me. Not as if I haven’t experienced that a few hundred times. Not sure why this bothers me so much and actually hurts on some level. But it is what it is and I cannot keep holding myself back for others. I need to get on with getting on.

What am I?

I so hate feelings, and emotions too. Thought I had learned how to control them, and I am really learning that is just not true. If anything, I am learning how badly I am at controlling them. Trust me, it totally sucks! Last couple weeks have been a bit of a challenge for me, and it is driving me crazy to say the least.

One thing I have been fighting with is this damn perfectionist thing, or otherwise called procrastination. They do go hand in hand together. Constantly I fight with this and I don’t know why. Last couple months I have been non-stop working on this new company. It finally “launched” two days ago, and it should have launched like five weeks ago. Just kept working on this and that, and these things haven’t even made it onto the site yet. Because I think they aren’t ready, and of course I am completely wrong about all of that. It has only caused me to make more mistakes and screw ups. Forced me to be upset with others and blah, blah, blah.

My new goal is just to get things done today! Something is better then nothing, and it isn’t like I can’t go back and fix anything I screw up anyway. Man, it is so frustrating!
