House Dems favor insurance requirement
It was so simple, help people get healthcare. Doesn’t sound like such a hard thing to do. But, when it comes to something that makes sense and is simple, you can always count on our government elected officials to not only make it as hard as possible, to turn the the concept inside out and screw it up.
Welcome to the mother of all mothers! Yes, the government is here to protect you and care for you. Making sure when you fall down that you don’t get hurt. They will rip up the grass if need be and put in something softer for you to walk and fall upon.
The government has once again forgotten what its job is, to serve the people. This is very disturbing, but wasn’t it when wearing seat belts, helmets, and the Patriot Act?

Where was all this concern when they passed the bailout funding? Who is paying/repaying this one? Us! Guess I will park my jet, and start using SouthWest.
FOLLOW-UP: Why is the President involved in this issue? Isn’t the office of President charged with law enforcement? How does the office of President have anything to do with this or many other issues. healthcare is an issue that is the responsibility of the legislative branch. Is it not a complete waste of time and money to have the President involved in things that are not part of the office he holds? Am I off the mark here?
AP sources: House Dems favor insurance requirement – Yahoo! News: “WASHINGTON – Senior House Democrats drafting health care legislation are considering slapping an unspecified financial penalty on anyone who refuses to purchase affordable health insurance, a key committee chairman said Monday.”
