The Securities and Exchange Commission is taking a drubbing these days for its abject failure―despite detailed tips―to catch Bernie Madoff in what appears to be the biggest Ponzi scheme in our nation’s history.

Regulators probed Madoff eight times over 16 years: report | U.S. | Reuters
Not that this is earth shattering. Just wondering when something is done with the continued failure of the US Government to do its job. No wonder we can’t stop people from flying planes into buildings.
These people have been told for YEARS, something was amiss with Madoff. For years they have been told, and even checked this guy out eight times, and they couldn’t find anything. No wonder no one can believe anything that comes from Washington. Who should be prosecuted in this case? Seems the SEC is an accomplice in this whole thing. They at least are guilty of driving the get away car.

Prosecutors seek to jail Madoff – Yahoo! News
Hello!?!?!?! This is getting to be ridiculous! Why is this guy being allowed to live in his multi-million dollar penthouse. and then to add insult to injury … he is moving millions around while playing with the terminology of assets vs., heirloom?
Someone please pull their head out of their a$$ and put this freak behind bars. This is the worse kind of criminal, worse then just about anything. He with forethought has destroyed thousands of lives. How can someone who has done this kind of damage be allowed to “chill” in a penthouse? I know a couple trailer parks with his name on it while he is waiting for this trial that no doubt will be delayed to every possible extent under the law, and hell without regard for the law too.
